This 1,800-acre, largely undeveloped site was transformed into a new high-tech, multi-institutional teaching, research, testing and workforce development campus. This transformation enhances and expands the University’s ability to provide opportunities for education and training, expand teaching and research capabilities and foster industry partnerships. The master plan sets forth a strategic vision, framework, and design guidance for the campus’s development over the next 20+ years.

The planning process included extensive collaboration with multiple committees and stakeholders that helped identify unique opportunities to create a new transitional paradigm for the campus. Immediate infrastructure recommendations frame long-term development goals to support future teaching and research facilities, training facilities and testing grounds and a mixture of student housing types. The connected, open-space network further supports interaction between students, faculty, staff and visitors by encouraging social activation. Upon completing the master plan, Page led the development of a campus-wide infrastructure plan and designed the first of three academic buildings in the development of Phase 1.
