The architecture industry is a very large field, and many multidisciplinary design firms like Page also offer engineering and other services. Industry rankings are esteemed as useful benchmarking tools for determining the overall growth and expertise in the trends defining the profession.

Ranked in Architectural Record’s Top Ten

The annual Architectural Record survey results show that since integrating EYP into the firm in 2022, Page has grown into a powerhouse design, architecture and engineering firm that broke into in the Top Ten of Architectural Record’s list of Top 300 US Architecture Firms of 2023. The publication spotlighted the firm in its editorial introduction, noting that Page made the largest leap up the list this year of any firm within the top 25, climbing from its 2022 ranking of 22nd to 10th in 2023. These rankings are based on revenue.

Moving Up The Engineering-News Record Top 500 Design Firms List

Page has leaped to the #39 ranking, up from #87 the year before. Thomas McCarthy, Page CEO, was quoted in a related article about what is happening in the AEC industry in 2023. He explained, “What design firms are balancing are the “growing pains” of an economy in times of inflation and cost escalation.” However, Page remains confident in its ability to continue best-value project delivery for clients, coming in on time and at budget.

Interior Design Magazine Top-Ranked Giant

According to Interior Design Magazine, Page is ranked #8 in Top 100 Giants 2023. The rankings are based on firm revenue, the number of employees, and the scope and scale of projects.

Page ranks first in the category of firms with the most fee growth from 2021 to 2022. The firm was #4 in the sustainability category. Page also made multiple top 10 lists for interior design in government, healthcare, education, and cultural market sectors.

Examples of the firm’s top-caliber work include multifamily residential project The Wescott, which received the 2022 IIDA Texas Oklahoma Chapter Design Excellence Award for Residential, recognizing excellence and innovation in design within the region. Seattle University Sinegal Center for Science and Innovation, on which Page collaborated with Mithun Architects, won the 2022 IIDA INaward for Best in Life Sciences.

#1 Federal Government Architecture and AE Firm

Additionally, Page is the #1 Federal Government Architecture and AE Firm, according to Building Design + Construction (BD+C) Magazine.

Our U.S. Consulate General in Hermosillo, Mexico, on which we collaborated with Richard Kennedy Architects, received special recognition as an award recipient in the civic/government building category from The Chicago Athenaeum’s prestigious 2022 American Architecture Awards for innovative design leadership and pioneering architectural vision. The awards are recognized as some of the nation’s highest public awards for new architecture and urban planning by the most prominent architecture firms in the United States.

Additionally, our U.S. Embassy in Niamey, Niger, on which we collaborated with Miller Hull Architects, was awarded the Engineering News Record Global Best Projects Award for Best Project Government Building.

2022 Rankings

Last year, BD+C listed Page in the 2022 Top Ten of Top 100 A/E firms, and in multiple sectors. To see BD+C’s rankings by sector, scroll down.

Additionally, the firm was ranked #22 in the 2022 Architectural Record Top 300 rankings of architecture and design firms. We were also included in Interior Design (ID) Giants Top 30 and Engineering News Record’s (ENR) Top 100 Design Firms rankings.

Other publications also included Page in their 2022 rankings. Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) News Magazine ranked Page in the Top 30 of its MEP (Mechanical Engineering Plumbing) 2022 Giants.

These research efforts rank companies by revenue in millions of dollars for services performed in the previous year. Firms are asked to provide total revenue, as well as breakdowns between domestic and international revenue and between architectural design revenue and other service revenue.
