Lauren Kazmaier RA
Associate / Architect
Lauren Kazmaier knew as early as high school that she wanted to be an architect, and was driven to seek a summer internship with a boutique architecture and interior design firm. While she had her sights already fixed on universities with architecture programs, Lauren credits the principal architect at her firm with steering her toward the University of Houston, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Architecture.
She is always surprised by the number of times new acquaintances have told her they too always wanted to be an architect but were deterred due to the perceptions of required math and/or drafting skills. While both are necessary, Lauren explains that she remains passionately interested in her work because of its complex nature. “The balance of design objectives with constraints creates an integrated puzzle I aim to solve through simplicity.”
At Page, Lauren has worked on a variety of large-scale, complex projects from corporate campuses to healthcare facilities and higher education. She cites cross-office collaboration and standardized firmwide processes as two keys to her professional success.
